Megan and I planned this night together and it was a lot of
fun! Because tonight was the adult session of Stake Conference, we asked Gloria
to watch all of our kids, minus the 3 babies while we went and were uplifted
for a couple hours. When we got back to our house, my kids went to bed and Kate
and Blake went to bed in the guest room.
With all the kids in bed, it was time for some fun! The 4 of
us played video games- actually we just played
Mario Kart. It was a game that our husbands loved to play together and
it was fun seeing them banter and compete against each other, ‘cause let’s be
honest, even though Megan and I were holding controllers, we were not very good
at this game and never had a shot at winning. So the boys would race each other
and then battle each other and when one of them killed the other, they’d go
after their sister in law. So Megan and I did a lot of driving in circles ‘til
our husband lost and then we did some hiding.
We also bought some of their favorite treats to snack on
while we were playing- chips, beef jerky, ice cream and IBC Root Beer and Cream
Soda.
It was really fun to try and be a part of something Rob
loves to do, and even though he could have beat me single-handedly, we laughed
a lot and had a good time!
